How Ombpoint Works
The Ombpoint workplace conflict support platform is simple and effective. But most importantly, our independent service provides employees with a safe space to raise workplace issues with the assurance that the discussion is strictly confidential, impartial and informal. Our five step process helps employees navigate workplace conflict.
Our five step process
Listen
The employee contacts a trusted Ombpoint adviser to raise their concern. To ensure confidentiality, the employee is identified by a reference number, and they are not required to provide their personal details.
Analyse
The Ombpoint adviser helps the employee explore and analyse their concerns, utilising their workplace psychology and development expertise. The advisor explores the context of the issue, its cause and effect, and determines potential options for resolution.
Advise
The Ombpoint adviser suggests resources and provides actionable steps to help the employee resolve the conflict internally, including utilising your organisation’s applicable policies and procedures as a first step.
Follow-up
The employee is invited to check back in with their trusted adviser. In some cases, the adviser may facilitate discussion and shuttle diplomacy between employees. The adviser may provide additional support by suggesting further strategies or, where appropriate, guiding them through the steps to make a formal internal complaint.
Report
Ombpoint records and analyses workplace conflict data, delivering a regular report to employers. Our detailed reports identify systemic issues within your organisation and point to trends in the wider market that may affect your employees and workplace culture.
